Edith Cowan University is an Australian public university located in Perth, Western Australia. It was named after the first woman to be elected to an Australian Parliament, Edith Cowan, and is the only Australian university named after a woman.

Every year, Australian university graduates are surveyed about their time at university, including factors impacting the quality of their experience and some post-university outcomes. The resulting scores are translated into university star ratings and these are published in the Good Universities Guide.

In the 2020 guide, ECU graduates have again given us a 5-star rating for teaching quality. This rating has now been achieved for 13 years in a row. It makes ECU the only public university in Australia to have achieved such a consistently high endorsement for teaching quality. A 5-star rating has also been achieved for full-time graduate starting salary, the equal highest in Western Australia and above the national average. This is based on the starting salary for new domestic graduates under age 25 and in their first full-time job.

ECU was also rated 5 stars and the best in Western Australia forthe overall experience, skills development, student support and learning resources.
