Originally founded in Rockhampton in 1967, CQUniversity Australia has experienced phenomenal growth in recent years seen by the remarkable growth in student numbers, new courses, new campuses,  infrastructure. Furthermore, the University’s reputation has seen it emerge as one of Australia’s truly great universities.

CQUniversity Australia is the largest university-based in regional Australia, with locations in every mainland state. Across our 20+ locations nationally, we offer an excellent range of vocational, higher education,  research products, offering students from within Australia, and from more than 140 countries around the world, exceptional choice when it comes to quality education.

CQUniversity also is also proud to be acknowledged by Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA 2015) as conducting research that is ‘well above world standard’ and ‘above world standard’ in the following areas: agricultural and veterinary sciences; applied mathematics; environmental sciences and management; mathematical sciences; medical and health sciences; mechanical engineering; nursing; other medical and health services; psychological and cognitive services.

We currently have more than 35 000 students spread across 24 campuses and locations Australia-wide. We operate campuses in Adelaide, Brisbane, Bundaberg, Cairns, Emerald, Gladstone, Mackay, Melbourne, Noosa, Perth, Rockhampton, Sydney,  Townsville.  We are leading the way when it comes to providing access to university-level education across the country also operating or supporting study centers in Broome, Busselton, Cooma, Geraldton and Karratha.

CQUniversity is also proud to have the highest ratio of students from low socio-economic, mature age, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, and first-in-family backgrounds. CQUniversity students have some of the best graduate outcomes in Australia, with data released by Graduate Careers Australia indicating that we have an overall full-time graduate employment rate almost 10 percent higher than the national average of for Australian resident bachelor degree graduates. Data released by the Quality Indicators for Learning and Teaching (QILT) website also shows that we outperform the majority of Australian universities when it comes to studying support, graduate employment and graduate salary outcomes.
